BHBD UK Shipping Policy

At BHBD UK, we’re committed to delivering your order quickly, safely, and reliably. This Shipping Policy applies to purchases made via BHBD UK and covers deliveries to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

We ship using trusted courier partners including Royal Mail and DPD. Courier selection may vary depending on your location and chosen delivery service.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.


 

1. Order Processing

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays).
Orders placed after 2:00pm will be processed the next working day.
During promotional periods, product launches, or peak trading times, processing times may be extended.
Delivery timeframes begin from the date of dispatch, not the date of order.
Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information.

We reserve the right to delay or cancel any order where fraud screening or verification checks are required.

Fully tracked (Royal Mail or DPD)
£3.95 per order (FREE on orders over £80)

Express Delivery

1–2 business days from dispatch
Fully tracked (DPD)
£6.95 per order

Remote & Offshore UK Locations

Includes (but not limited to):
Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles.

Delivery may take longer than mainland estimates.
Additional courier surcharges may apply depending on postcode.
We reserve the right to contact you to request additional shipping fees before dispatch.
If additional fees are declined, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order.

 

3. Republic of Ireland Delivery

Estimated delivery: 2–6 business days from dispatch
Fully tracked (DPD)
£15.50 per order

Orders shipped to the Republic of Ireland may be subject to customs processing, import duties, VAT, taxes, or clearance fees imposed by Irish authorities.

All such charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

BHBD UK accepts no responsibility for customs delays, inspections, or additional charges imposed by customs authorities.


 

4. Risk & Responsibility (UK Legal Compliance)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

Goods remain the responsibility of BHBD UK until they are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer to take possession of the goods.
Delivery confirmation by the courier (including GPS confirmation, photographic evidence, signature capture, or safe-place confirmation) constitutes evidence of delivery.

If delivery is confirmed by the courier to the address provided at checkout, BHBD UK reserves the right to rely on such confirmation as proof of fulfilment.

Customers are responsible for:

Providing accurate delivery details.
Ensuring the delivery location is secure.
Ensuring someone is available to receive high-value or signature-required deliveries.

BHBD UK is not liable for loss arising from:

Incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.
Delivery to a nominated safe place or neighbour.
Delays caused by courier networks, weather events, strikes, or force majeure events.

 

5. High-Value & Fraud Prevention Measures

To protect both our business and customers:

High-value orders may require a signature upon delivery.
Orders may be subject to identity or payment verification.
We reserve the right to cancel or delay dispatch if fraud is suspected.

BHBD UK reserves the right to refuse replacement or refund where:

Courier evidence confirms delivery, and
No credible evidence of non-receipt is provided.

 

6. Missed, Refused, or Undeliverable Deliveries

If delivery is missed:

The courier may attempt redelivery.
The parcel may be held at a depot or collection point.

If a parcel is:

Refused,
Not collected,
Returned due to incorrect address,
Or deemed undeliverable,

The following applies:

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Any return shipping charges incurred by BHBD UK will be deducted from any refund.
Additional shipping fees will apply for redelivery.

 

7. Lost or Missing Parcels

If tracking shows "Delivered" but you have not received your parcel:

You must notify us within 48 hours of the marked delivery date at info@bhbd.co.uk.

We will:

Open an investigation with the courier.
Request GPS data, delivery scans, and photographic evidence where available.

Investigations may take 3–7 working days.

Claims reported more than 14 days after confirmed delivery may not be accepted due to courier claim limitations.

Where a parcel is confirmed lost by the courier, we will offer either:

A replacement (subject to stock availability), or
A refund.

BHBD UK does not issue refunds or replacements during an active courier investigation.


 

8. Delivery Delays

Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed.

BHBD UK shall not be liable for delays caused by:

Courier network disruption
Customs clearance
Severe weather
Industrial action
Events beyond our reasonable control

Where delays occur, we will assist customers in liaising with the courier but are not responsible for consequential losses.


 

9. VAT

All prices displayed on our website include VAT where applicable.
